The Mechatronics Engineering Manager will work on the development of next generation NOVA metrology systems with a group of mechatronics and systems engineers as part of the Hardware Engineering organization. The candidate will interface with multifunctional groups to ensure the smooth development and deployment of new product solutions and capabilities, support ongoing product improvements as well as new platform developments.
Pay Range: $200,000- $242,000 Annually (DOE)

Responsibilities:
- Oversee the design, development, and implementation of new and existing mechatronic systems across multiple product portfolio.
- Manage a team of engineers, assigns, schedules and tracks their tasks and ensures timely, high-quality execution.
- Oversees the workflow of the HW release process. Represents Common Platform Engineering in the Hardware Change Control Board and helps the HW Director in prioritizing and executing the tasks.
- Guide the team through all stages of the Product Life Cycle, from requirements definition and design to implementation, validation, and release to manufacturing.
- Work collaboratively with various teams, including systems, software, applications, service, manufacturing, and customers, to achieve project objectives.
Requirements:
- Experienced in high-precision stages, material transport and opto-mechanics.
- Familiar with clean vacuum practices such as surface preparations, material use and cleaning protocols.
- Familiar with mechanical design best practices for charge particle and x-ray optics
- Critical, scientific thinking with good intuition toward practical solutions and problem solving.
- Ability to present in a concise manner to a larger audience.
- Follow good design practices in engineering development process.
Education / Experience:
- Degree in mechanical or mechatronics engineering, related technical discipline
- 5 years of experience in a management role and 7-10 years of industry experience in a technical, complex engineering environment
- Previous experience with Semiconductor Capital equipment a plus
- Experience in complex system design, vendor management and product release
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are vital for success.
- Familiarity with areas like CAD software, PLC programming, robotics, and system integration is crucial.
