Nova is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant / Assistant Controller to join our Finance team. As a key contributor, you will process and oversee core accounting functions including accounts receivable and payable, tax support, bank reconciliations, fixed asset and lease accounting, and financial close processes.
The ideal candidate brings hands-on accounting and business experience with a proactive mindset. This is a high-impact role offering broad exposure across the organization, with opportunities to contribute to strategic initiatives and grow within a publicly traded global company.
Pay Range: $60-90 hourly (DOE)
Please note this is a 1099 contract position to cover maternity leave.
Responsibilities
The Assistant Controller (Contractor) will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
Ongoing Responsibilities:
- Review credit card payment requests
- Review purchase orders (POs) in Oracle
Month-End & Quarter-End Responsibilities:
Preparer Duties:
- Prepare warranty workpapers
- Perform balance sheet (BS) and profit & loss (P&L) analysis with commentary
- Analyze service revenues
- Conduct mid-year warranty recalculations
- Support ad hoc tasks as needed
Reviewer Duties:
- Review accrued liabilities workpapers
- Review accrued expenses
- Review bank reconciliations
- Review allocation workpapers
- Review investment accruals
- Conduct target collection reviews
