Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing.
- Provide meal preparation and ensure nutritional needs are met.
- Monitor and observe patients’ conditions, reporting any changes or concerns to healthcare professionals.
- Help with mobility assistance, including heavy lifting when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Administer first aid and CPR as needed in emergency situations.
- Offer companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being.
- Support clients with medication reminders and adherence to prescribed health plans.
Skills
- Strong patient observation skills to recognize changes in clients' health status.
- Experience in home health settings, group homes, or nursing homes is preferred.
- Knowledge of first aid and CPR techniques is essential.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for client mobility support.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and their families.
