Job Summary
The Esthetics instructor will be responsible for preparing teaching materials and delivering demonstrations of the skills required, lectures on theory, techniques, and terminology using the MILDAY textbook, as well as, preparing students to perform services with clients in the training spa and future professional establishments. Instructors will also be responsible to observe students’ grades, the work of the students, and assisting with individualized tutoring or remedial instruction.
Esthetic instructors are also responsible for completing salon services and providing customer service when required. This role will be Monday-Wednesday.
Duties and Responsibilities
● Teach students using a systematic plan that consists of lectures, demonstrations, discussion groups, interactive activities, independent and group projects.
● Develop lesson plans, prepare teaching materials and outlines for courses using the MILDAY textbook.
● When creating lesson plans follow the course dates with the revolving enrollment in mind and prepare for student graduations and new student arrivals.
● Using the Cengage online platform, assign homework assignments, and quizzes while
administering tests provide on Cengage in class. (The Cengage program grades all assignments, quizzes, tests and formulates online grades for you).
● Ensure that students must complete all assignments and quizzes before taking the section exam. The Section exam must be completed before the student may move onto the next section.
● Provide individualized tutorial or remedial instruction to students who require it.
● Supervise independent or group projects and hands-on training.
● Complete salon services on clients when required.
● Assist with customer service at the front desk when required.
● Stay informed about changes and innovations in your field.
● Provide timely feedback to students regarding academic progress.
● Maintain professional standards when speaking to clients, students, and co-workers.
● Maintain State Laws and Regulations, as well as, NVLET Policies and Procedures regarding student hours, attendance, and cleanliness (this includes delegating cleaning tasks to students in the classroom, the training spa, and laundry area).
● Observe Scheduled Class Times.
● Keep an inventory of products needed in the classroom and the training spa, orders may be given to the manager to provide to the instructor.
Qualifications Education
Instructors License must be successfully obtained (We are willing to purchase this course for you as long as all required qualifications are met).
College Diploma in Esthetics required.
College Diploma in Master Esthetics required for Master Instruction
Experience
The successful candidate must have two years of experience working as an Esthetician.
