Medical Receptionist
Position Summary
- We are a wellness and preventive care practice, specializing in IV vitamin therapy and medical weight loss, located in Boca Raton, FL.
- The Receptionist’s role is to greet patients, check patients in and out of their visits, schedule incoming appointment requests, confirm patient appointments, and provide necessary information about our services.
- Must be able to multi-task and handle a high call volume, as well as be able to learn quickly about our products and services
- MA certificate is a PLUS
Job Duties:
· Managing Reception Area: Greet patients, answer phone calls, (following call scripting) and manage appointment scheduling using the practice management software. Ensure a welcoming and organized front desk area.
· Patient Check-In and Check-Out: Oversee the check-in process, verify patient information, membership details, and collect payments as needed.
· Coordinate patient check-out, schedule follow-up appointments
· Administrative Support: Assist with administrative tasks such as filing patient records, updating patient demographics, and maintaining accurate medical records
· Product knowledge: provide information about our services and products to the patients. Be able to professionally explain the differences between our services.
· Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to patients, addressing their questions, concerns, and requests promptly and professionally. Ensure a positive patient experience throughout their visit.
· Miscellaneous Tasks: Perform additional duties as assigned, such as assisting with marketing initiatives, coordinating patient education seminars, or supporting other departments as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum one-year experience in similar role
- MA certificate is a PLUS
- Strong verbal communication skills with a professional voice on the phone
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize incoming phone calls
- Good computer skills
- Prior experience w/ EMR and CRM software is a plus
- Able to follow set policies and procedures
- Self-starter and able to create and implement internal processes when needed
