What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sushi Cook position at Nova Hospitality?

What You Will Do
- Expertly cutting, slicing, and filleting various types of fish, preparing sushi rice, and assembling traditional and innovative menu items
- Ensuring all dishes meet established standards for quality, portion size, and visual appeal
- Possesses thorough knowledge of the food a menu to answer all questions from staff
- Daily prep for the day and week
- Learning and execution of menu offerings
- Performs opening and closing side work
- Ensure work area complies with health codes at all times

What You Should Have
- 1 or more years of experience in a high-volume kitchen
- Creativity and passion for Japanese cuisine
- A valid Food Handlers Certification is required and must be obtained before entering this position
- Must have an accommodating attitude
- Must be a highly organized individual with the ability to handle numerous tasks at a time
