What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Construction Inspector (DOT) position at NOVA Engineering and Environmental, LLC?
NOVA Engineering is seeking a Senior Construction Inspector in our Greenville, SC office. We are looking for a self-motivated individual with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic. Positions offer the opportunity for growth and advancement for the successful candidate.
Responsibilities:
- Perform field services for soils, foundations, pavement sections, reinforced concrete, structural masonry, wood framing, structural steel and other special inspections, as applicable.
- Coordinate with contractors, and NOVA staff regarding execution of required services and result of testing and/or inspections, as applicable.
- Prepare detailed and complete daily field reports
Requirements:
- SCDOT Earthwork, Concrete Certifications are required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction inspection with a focus on roadway field inspection and HMA quality assurance lab testing
- Highly desired with a minimum of 3 years of experience in roadway and bridge construction
- Strong knowledge of SCDOT construction standards and procedures
