What are the responsibilities and job description for the SCDOT Inspector (Concrete) position at Nova Engineering and Environmental LLC?
NOVA Engineering is seeking a Senior Construction Inspector in our Charleston, SC office. We are looking for a self-motivated individual with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic. Positions offer the opportunity for growth and advancement for the successful candidate.
Responsibilities:
- Perform field services for soils, foundations, pavement sections, reinforced concrete, structural masonry, wood framing, structural steel and other special inspections, as applicable.
- Coordinate with contractors, and NOVA staff regarding execution of required services and result of testing and/or inspections, as applicable.
- Prepare detailed and complete daily field reports
Requirements:
- SCDOT Level 1 and 2 Concrete Field Technician
- SCDOT Foundations preferred or ability to obtain quickly
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction inspection, with a focus on pile driving and bridge/roadway projects.
- Strong knowledge of SCDOT construction standards and procedures
