What are the responsibilities and job description for the Master Special Inspector (MSI) position at NOVA Engineering and Environmental, LLC?
NOVA Engineering & Environmental is seeking an ICC certified Master Special Inspector in our Norcross or Kennesaw, GA office. We are looking for a self-motivated individual with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
Primary duties performing structural building inspections and QA/QC tests (masonry, reinforced concrete, structural steel, etc.). Some travel is required. The position will be predominately field located.
Responsibilities:
- Perform Inspections in accordance with code and project requirements
- Interpret project plans and specifications and ensure project requirements are being met.
- Activities will include performing field testing and inspections
- Review plans and specifications, performing the inspections accordingly
- Communicate results with contractors, engineers and others
- Input results and observations into daily reports
Requirements:
- 3 years construction materials testing and special inspection experience required
- International Code Council (ICC) Certifications are required in the following areas: Soils, Structural Masonry, Reinforced Concrete, Welding, Steel and Bolting
- ICC Master of Special Inspections is highly preferred
- Proof of clean driving record
