NOVA Engineering & Environmental seeks a Construction Materials Laboratory Technician in Norcross, Georgia. This role ensures materials meet project specifications and supports quality assurance for a variety of clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct laboratory tests on asphalt, concrete, aggregates, and soils for commercial and transportation projects.
- Perform strength, density, and moisture tests following GDOT, ACI, ASTM, and AASHTO standards.
- Accurately document and report test results to project managers and clients.
- Maintain and calibrate lab equipment per GDOT, ACI, ASTM, and AASHTO requirements.
- Follow safety protocols and quality control procedures.
Preferred Certifications:
- American Concrete Institute (ACI) Lab Certifications (Aggregate, Strength, etc)
- GDOT Lab Certifications (Aggregate, Concrete Strength, Asphalt, etc.)
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
- Ability to work in a laboratory environment and occasionally assist in the field.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
