What are the responsibilities and job description for the Environmental Staff Scientist (Phase I ESA) position at Nova Engineering and Environmental LLC?
NOVA Engineering & Environmental is hiring an Environmental Staff Scientist to support our growing team in Kennesaw, GA. This role is ideal for a motivated professional with experience in Phase I & II Environmental Site Assessments and field investigations.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform Phase I & II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs)
- Conduct soil and groundwater sampling
- Support site investigations and environmental assessments
- Prepare technical reports and documentation
- Work closely with project managers on a variety of environmental projects
Requirements:
- 2–5 years of environmental consulting experience
- Experience with Phase I/II ESAs and field sampling
- Bachelor’s degree in: Geology, Environmental or Civil Engineering, or Environmental Science
- Strong communication and report writing skills
- Ability to work both in the field and office
Preferred:
- HAZWOPER certification
- Experience with additional services (vapor intrusion, asbestos, mold, lead, etc.)
