What are the responsibilities and job description for the Entry Level Staff Engineer/Geologist (CMT) position at Nova Engineering and Environmental LLC?
NOVA Engineering is hiring a Staff Engineer/Geologist to work on Construction Materials Testing & Special Inspection projects based from our Panama City Beach, FL office.
Primary responsibilities will include:
- Staff engineering duties including data reduction, analysis & fieldwork for commercial, industrial, retail, government, office and residential projects (both Geotechnical Engineering and Construction Materials Testing/Inspection)
- Assisting with project management & reporting
- Field inspection, sampling & testing of soils, concrete, masonry, reinforcing steel, etc.
- Report preparation
- Client consultation and maintenance
- Providing assistance to other NOVA team members to promote the overall objectives of the company.
The preferred candidate will have:
- B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering or Geology
- Recent Graduates are encouraged to apply!
- 0 -1 years Construction Materials experience preferred, not required
- EIT or GIT is preferred, or ability to obtain in 3 - 6 months
- Strong communication skills
- Position entails approximately 80% fieldwork and 20% office with occasional travel.
