Join NOVA Engineering as a Construction Engineering Inspection (CEI) Inspector for GDOT roadway and bridge projects in the Atlanta, GA metropolitan area. This role ensures compliance with GDOT specifications and project plans through on-site inspection and documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect roadway and bridge construction activities for compliance with GDOT standards.
- Monitor traffic control and erosion control measures.
- Verify placement of asphalt, concrete, drainage structures, and reinforcing steel.
- Prepare daily reports and assist with pay estimates.
- Communicate with contractors and project managers to resolve issues.
Preferred Certifications:
- GDOT Field Concrete Technician
- GDOT Asphalt Roadway Level I & II
- GDOT Earthwork Inspection
- GSWCC Level 1A (Erosion Control)
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical training or degree preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
- Strong math and computer skills (MS Office).
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
