NOVA Engineering is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Building Code Inspections Scheduler to support our Kennesaw, GA office on a temporary, part-time basis. This role blends scheduling coordination with administrative support, working closely with project managers, inspectors, and clients to help keep inspections running smoothly and efficiently.
As a third-party provider, our team operates in a fast-paced, client-focused environment where responsiveness and clear communication are critical. This role is key to ensuring clients receive timely scheduling, accurate information, and a high level of service throughout the inspection process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and schedule building code inspections, assisting with efficient routing and inspector availability
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, providing prompt, professional, and solutions-oriented communication
- Respond to scheduling requests and changes with a sense of urgency and strong follow-through
- Communicate with project managers and field staff to coordinate inspection needs and updates
- Track inspection schedules and maintain accurate, up-to-date records
- Prepare, organize, and maintain project documentation including reports and inspection records
- Maintain organized digital filing systems for inspection records and documentation
- Provide general administrative support to the team as needed
Qualifications:
- 2 years of administrative or scheduling experience, preferably in engineering, construction, inspections, or a professional services environment
- Experience in a client-facing, service-oriented role required (fast-paced or deadline-driven environments preferred)
- Strong customer service skills with a proactive, responsive approach
- Ability to prioritize urgent requests and adapt quickly as schedules change
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- High attention to detail, particularly with tracking schedules and documentation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
- Demonstrated ability to learn new systems and platforms
- Clear and professional communication skills
