About the Role:

The Driver position is critical to ensuring the safe and timely transportation of goods across various locations within the United States. This role involves operating commercial vehicles such as dump trucks and Vans to deliver materials efficiently while adhering to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing routes, maintaining vehicle safety standards, and ensuring compliance with transportation laws. This position plays a vital role in supporting warehousing and logistics operations by facilitating the smooth flow of inventory and supplies. Ultimately, the Driver contributes to the overall success of the transportation management system by providing reliable and professional driving services.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Valid Driver's License 


• Proven experience in driving with a clean driving record.


• Thorough knowledge of DOT regulations and transportation safety standards.


• Ability to read and interpret maps and GPS navigation systems.


• Physical ability to perform loading/unloading tasks.


• Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays, as required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with transportation of construction material


• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.


• Experience operating dump trucks a plus

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate company vehicles, including trucks and trailers, in compliance with all traffic laws and regulations


• Comply with all DOT regulations and company policies to ensure safety and legal adherence during all transportation activities.


• Plan and follow the most efficient routes by reading maps and using GPS technology to meet delivery schedules.


• Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition and report any mechanical issues promptly.


• Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securement


• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, reporting any issues or concerns


• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and hours worked


• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members to coordinate delivery schedules


• Adhere to company policies and procedures, including safety protocols and equipment maintenance
