Role Description The Field Service Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Carlsbad, NM. This position is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing compression equipment and related systems at customer locations. Day-to-day tasks include performing routine inspections, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, replacing parts, and ensuring equipment operates within safety and performance standards. The technician will document service activities, complete work orders, and communicate clearly with customers and internal teams about equipment status and recommended actions. The role also involves following all safety procedures, participating in periodic training, and being available for emergency call-outs or extended hours as operational needs require.
Qualifications
- Experience working with mechanical equipment, including troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair.
- Basic understanding of electrical systems and the ability to safely work around energized equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose issues in the field with limited supervision.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service documentation.
