Summary
Under the direction of the Day Services Director, the Day Program Manager is responsible for the daily operation of the Day Program, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centered services while maintaining compliance with all applicable regulations and organizational policies. This position provides direct supervision, leadership, and support to Day Program staff; oversees scheduling, documentation, transportation coordination, and program activities; promotes a positive team culture; and works collaboratively with individuals served, families, community partners, and other departments to ensure the health, safety, and overall success of the program.
Required Qualifications
•Minimum 3 years of experience working with the developmentally disabled
•Minimum of two years of management experience
•High school diploma or GED. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
•Valid Class E driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance required
•Certified in CPR, First Aid as well as Mandt and Medication Administration
•Strong knowledge of social services and community resources
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•Ability to manage crisis situations calmly and effectively in accordance with policy
•Demonstrated experience in supervision and team development.
•Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through.
•Proficiency in documentation, reporting systems, and communication platforms.
•Proficiency in computer skills and digital learning technologies.
•Ability to work without constant supervision.
•Ability to maintain a record of punctuality and good attendance.
•Engage team members in achieving organizational goals.
•Effectively communicate updates.
•Ability to address difficult team situations with professionalism and collaboration with HR.
•Ability to stand, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds as well as pull or push items.
Job Duties
•Lead the day program team by fostering a positive, supportive, and collaborative work environment.
•Oversee day-to-day program operations, ensuring high-quality, person-centered services for all participants.
•Attend annual and quarterly meetings for the individuals.
•Maintain strong relationships with families and community partners.
•Supervise, train, and support staff, including performance management and ongoing development.
•Monitor staffing levels, schedules, and coverage to maintain required ratios and minimize overtime.
•Ensure compliance with documentation and safety with all applicable regulations.
•Coordination of program efforts with related outside agencies.
•Promote a culture of open communication, recognition, and continuous improvement.
•Advocate for individuals served and ensure services remain responsive to their needs.
•Maintain confidentiality, HIPAA compliance, and a safe environment for all participants.
•Provide direct support of transportation services to and from day program.
•Ensure daily attendance of day program participants is documented daily.
•Provide quality assurance checks in Day Program daily.
•Oversee implementation of person-centered plans are evident in daily care of the individuals.
•Attend regular client reviews, provide input to service coordinator from area Targeted Case Management groups.
•Complete monthly summaries of client’s progress.
•Assuring the development of monthly schedules/activities are completed prior to the beginning of each month.
•Keeping an up-to-date inventory of supply items available and creating shopping lists for supplies needed.
•Completion of accounting forms monthly
•Oversee the cleanliness and organization over the day program areas and vehicles.
•Capturing information and photos for social media events.
•Responsible for orientation and training of new staff.
•Cover shifts as needed.

Work Schedule: This position is typically 8am to 4pm, Monday through Friday.
