Nourishing Minds Behavioral Health is seeking compassionate Qualified Mental Health Professional's (QMHP) to respond to community-based mental health crises as part of our 24/7 Mobile Crisis Response Team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in behavioral health and demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality care to individuals facing mental health challenges. As a QMHP, you will play a critical role in delivering short term interventions, in-person crisis assessments, de-escalation, safety planning, coordination with local resources while supporting clients through various therapeutic interventions.
Responsibilities
- Respond to dispatched crisis calls within your coverage area
- Complete crisis assessments and safety planning on-site
- Collaborate with LMHPs for clinical oversight when needed
- Provide brief interventions and linkages to care
- Accurately document services in timely manner
- Participate in on-call rotation as assigned
Qualifications
Candidates should have experience in the following areas:
- Must meet Virginia QMPH-A or C qualifications.
- Bachelor's degree in human services or related field required.
- At least 1 year experience in mental/behavioral health
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to promptly respond to crisis calls in coverage area.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Mobile Crisis and/or Community Stabilization experience preferred.
