What are the responsibilities and job description for the Occupational Therapist position at Nourish Pediatric Therapy?
Pediatric Occupational Therapist or Speech-Language Pathologist (Feeding Focus)
About Nourish Pediatric Therapy
At Nourish Pediatric Therapy, we believe therapy should help children feel capable, families feel supported, and everyone leave with more confidence than when they arrived.
We specialize in pediatric feeding while also supporting sensory processing, emotional regulation, and functional development through a neurodiversity-affirming, strengths-based approach. Our goal isn’t perfection, it’s meaningful progress that fits naturally into each family’s everyday life.
We’re a small, growing practice that values connection, curiosity, collaboration, and evidence-informed care. We celebrate wins together, encourage lifelong learning, and believe therapists thrive when they have the support and flexibility to do their best work.
About the Role
We’re looking for a compassionate Occupational Therapist or Speech-Language Pathologist who has a genuine interest in pediatric feeding therapy. Whether you already have feeding experience or are eager to develop this specialty, we’re looking for someone excited to learn, collaborate, and grow alongside our team.
The ideal clinician enjoys building strong relationships with children and families, thinks creatively to solve problems, and believes therapy should be individualized, functional, and empowering.
This position includes evaluation and treatment of pediatric clients with feeding challenges, sensory differences, developmental delays, and functional skill needs within each discipline’s scope of practice. The role also includes caregiver education, documentation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and participation in the continued growth of our clinic.
What You’ll Do
* Provide compassionate, evidence-informed evaluations and treatment sessions.
* Develop individualized treatment plans that reflect each child’s strengths, needs, and family priorities.
* Support children with feeding challenges, sensory processing differences, self-regulation, and functional participation (within your professional scope).
* Coach caregivers with practical strategies they can confidently implement at home.
* Collaborate with physicians, schools, dietitians, and other professionals to support each child’s success.
* Complete timely documentation and maintain accurate clinical records.
* Participate in team collaboration, mentorship, and continuing education opportunities.
* Help shape and grow a positive clinic culture where both clinicians and families feel welcomed and supported.
We’re Looking for Someone Who…
* Has a passion for working with children and families.
* Has a strong interest in pediatric feeding therapy.
* Is warm, approachable, and relationship-focused.
* Practices with curiosity, humility, and a desire to keep learning.
* Values neurodiversity-affirming, family-centered care.
* Communicates clearly and compassionately.
* Works well independently while enjoying collaboration.
* Appreciates both evidence-based practice and the art of connecting with families.
* Brings positivity, flexibility, and a growth mindset to a small business environment.
Qualifications
* Licensed (or license-eligible) Occupational Therapist or Speech-Language Pathologist in Kansas.
* Pediatric experience preferred but not required.
* Feeding therapy experience is welcomed but not required. We’re happy to mentor the right candidate with a strong interest in this specialty.
* Current CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
Why You’ll Love Working at Nourish
* Flexible scheduling and opportunities for hybrid schedule (in-clinic, on school site, and/or virtual)
* Mentorship and support in developing feeding therapy expertise.
* Collaborative, encouraging team culture.
* Opportunities to help shape a growing pediatric practice.
* Continuing education support.
* A clinic that genuinely values clinician well-being alongside excellent patient care.
If you’re looking for a workplace where relationships matter, curiosity is encouraged, and helping children build confidence is at the heart of every session, we’d love to meet you.
Our Values
💚 We lead with kindness.
We believe children, families, and teammates deserve to feel welcomed, respected, and genuinely cared for. Compassion comes first.
🌱 We stay curious.
No two children are the same. We ask questions, seek evidence, continue learning, and aren’t afraid to try new approaches when they serve our families well.
🤝 We partner with families.
Parents and caregivers know their child best. We listen first, collaborate often, and create practical strategies that work in real life—not just in the therapy room.
🏆 We celebrate strengths.
We are neurodiversity-affirming and believe every child deserves to be seen for who they are. We build on strengths, support challenges, and measure success by meaningful participation and confidence.
✨ We value progress over perfection.
Small wins matter. We celebrate each step forward and help children build confidence that lasts far beyond therapy sessions.
🌿 We grow together.
We support one another, share knowledge freely, welcome feedback, and believe the best care happens when clinicians feel encouraged and empowered.
❤️ We make therapy joyful
Children learn best when they feel safe, connected, and engaged. We strive to create an environment where therapy is both effective and enjoyable
