What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part Time Nanny position at Nounou Nanny?
We are seeking a warm, engaging, and reliable nanny to care for a curious and active 2-year-old toddler. The ideal candidate is attentive, patient, and familiar with early childhood milestones and routines.
Schedule:
- Part-time hours (exact schedule to be determined with the family)
- Example schedule: Monday and Thursday from 9am -5 pm
- Occasional flexibility requested for special events or schedule changes
- Weekends optional
Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive, developmentally appropriate care for a 2-year-old
- Plan and lead fun, enriching activities (sensory play, crafts, outdoor play, reading, etc.)
- Support early learning skills, including language development, imaginative play, and social-emotional growth
- Prepare simple, healthy snacks and meals
- Maintain a tidy and organized play environment
- Assist with toddler routines: diapering/potty training readiness, nap schedule, and transitions
- Communicate effectively with parents about the child's day, behavior, and milestones
Qualifications:
- Prior experience caring for toddlers in a nanny or childcare setting
- Understanding of toddler development, safety practices, and age-appropriate engagement
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Reliable, punctual, and nurturing
- Ability to take initiative with daily activities and outings
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16.0 per week
