This EMT position is staffing an ambulance with a paramedic for standbys during a variety of training exercises at Fort Pickett in Blackstone Va. Nottoway County Emergency Squad has 3 standby ambulances there Mon-Fri. The times are 0530 to 1830 for one ambulance and 0630 to 1730 for the other two. The EMT primarily serves as the driver for the ambulance in addition to performing usual EMT duties- basic life support, administering first aid, writing reports, communicating with Fort Pickett personnel, assisting ALS provider as needed, and transporting patients when applicable.
