We’re looking for an Operations Supervisor in our Shippensburg, PA facility.
Successful Candidates Will Demonstrate
The Operations Supervisor is responsible for effectively meeting Company objectives within a Distribution Center environment. This position will focus on continuous improvement of NOTS Logistics operational performance as it relates to quality, productivity, and on-time delivery of product. This position reports to the Distribution Center Manager.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Oversee, train, and develop a team of flexible, multi-skilled employees in accordance with NOTS Logistics values and strategic direction.
- Lead team to achieve daily/weekly/monthly goals set forth by customer and NOTS Logistics management.
- Assign duties and coordinate workloads to achieve facility goals (e.g., production, quality, safety).
- Maintain quality and safety standards by ensuring associates are trained on company policies, standards and procedures.
- Communicate with Manager regarding facility, equipment, safety, personnel and environmental issues to determine action to resolve.
- Enforce regulatory compliance with OSHA, DOT and other state/local guidelines.
- Other duties as assigned by manager
Qualifications/Requirements:
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or related field
- OR Associate’s degree in Business, Logistics, or related field and minimum 3 years supervisory experience in similar environment
- OR Minimum 5 years supervisory experience in a similar environment or Logistics/Warehousing
- OR Military experience equivalent
Skills, abilities, physical requirements
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to partner with all levels of management.
- Excellent people skills to effectively lead and empower team members.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proven ability to achieve goals and drive performance improvements.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Working knowledge of WMS concepts/systems.
- Regularly walk warehouse floors and perform light physical labor (carry up to 60 lbs occasionally).
- Adapt to varying warehouse temperatures
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends when necessary.

Salary : $60,000 - $65,000
