JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: Custodian
REPORTS TO: Principal
HOURS: 7 AM - 11 AM
SUMMARY: Responsible for general janitorial and maintenance of school including any and all buildings.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- General janitorial and maintenance care of the school including cleaning classrooms, bathrooms, hallways, gyms, locker rooms, and cafeteria.
- Snow removal from sidewalks and steps.
- Insure that bathrooms are clean and have sufficient supplies.
- Check trash containers and remove trash as needed.
- Setup, tear down and cleanup for special school events.
- Painting, stripping and waxing of hallways and classrooms during the summer.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or equivalent and previous experience preferred.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must be able to lift 50 lbs., bend, stoop, climb and reach.
Ability to keep building areas orderly and clean.
Job Type: Part-time
