Notre Dame of Maryland University in Baltimore is seeking applicants for a full-time tenure-track position as an assistant or associate professor (commensurate with experience) in the Chemistry Department, beginning in August 2026.
The successful candidate will have an earned doctorate in Chemistry, evidencing a strong background in Analytical Chemistry. Principal teaching responsibilities will include Analytical Chemistry, Instrumental Analysis, both lecture and laboratory courses, along with introductory courses in chemistry. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills and excellent teaching ability. All NDMU faculty members must have facility in teaching across varied course delivery modes, and they must be comfortable with online learning systems. Prior college-level teaching experience is expected. Post-doctoral research experience preferred.
The candidate must be familiar with standards for compliance with all related federal, state and local regulatory guidelines including but not limited to FERPA and Title IX; all faculty must complete a University laboratory safety training program in order to provide a safe learning environment for students in the natural sciences.
