Summary:
Notre Dame High School is seeking a highly motivated, goal-driven individual to fill the English Teacher position for AP Literature & Composition, AP Language & Composition, and Grade 11 English Regents. This is a great opportunity for an experienced senior high teacher with a low student-to-teacher ratio. Retired teachers are encouraged to apply. A bachelor's or master's degree in teaching or a related field, along with past teaching experience, is preferred. The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and the ability to communicate through written, spoken, and visual media.
The English teacher must be committed to continuously developing curriculum and instruction through collaboration. A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree is required; however, a Master's Degree is preferred. Past teaching experience is preferred. Such alternatives to the above qualifications may be considered by the Head of School as appropriate and acceptable. Job Qualifications
- Preferred: candidates with Teacher Certification OR a BS degree in English or a related field experience teaching at the high school level.
