At Notre Dame, your work matters, and so do you!The Notre Dame Law School is seeking a Temporary Administrative Assistant to support the work of the Notre Dame Clinical Law Center, an active law office and academic teaching unit dedicated to providing high-quality legal services to the community.The Clinical Law Center is home to several practice-area clinics, including the Applied Mediation Clinic, Community Development Clinic, Special Education Rights Clinic, Eviction Clinic, Veterans Rights Clinic, and Immigration Clinic.In this role, the Temporary Administrative Assistant will work closely with the Senior Legal Assistant and provide essential administrative support to Clinic Directors, Legal Fellows, Staff Attorneys, and the students who represent clients throughout the semester.Key Responsibilities Include:
- Greeting and assisting visitors and clients in a professional and welcoming manner
- Answering incoming calls, including those from current clients and individuals seeking legal assistance
- Supporting case management activities, including client correspondence and file organization
- Proofreading documents and assisting with general administrative and clerical tasks
- Associate’s degree or equivalent professional experience
- 3-4 years of experience in an office or administrative environment
- Knowledge of, or the ability to quickly learn, procedures related to the timely filing of pleadings
- Strong ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet tight deadlines
- Positive, professional attitude and strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Paralegal Certificate
- Notary Public Commission
- Ability to speak Spanish fluently
- Familiar with the legal process and legal pleadings, able to answer a multi-line telephone.
Salary : $22 - $25
