Nothing else is a preservative-free, sensitive skincare brand. We're coming up on our first anniversary and looking for our first full-time hire. We're already in 50 stores, like Wolf & Badger in SoHo, and now we're looking to build our social media presence.
About the Role
We are seeking a visionary, results-driven Head of Socials with 5 years of experience to own the complete visual and commercial social strategy for nothing else. In this role, you won't just be scheduling posts; you will actively bridge the gap between creative storytelling and direct-to-consumer (DTC) performance, utilizing platform analytics and attribution models to turn organic engagement into revenue. As an early, pivotal hire, you will oversee end-to-end content production, drive our influencer seeding strategy using your existing network of beauty creators, and champion our philosophy of radical essentialism across all digital touchpoints. This is a highly strategic role that requires you to be completely hands-on with execution, content creation, and community building.
Key Responsibilities
- Brand Strategy & Narrative: Develop and execute an omnipresent social media strategy across TikTok, Instagram, and emerging platforms that fiercely protects and communicates our minimalist, raw aesthetic.
- Hands-On Content Creation: Conceive, shoot, and edit high-performing, platform-native content (short-form video, high-contrast minimalist photography, copy) daily.
- Influencer & Creator Seeding: Leverage your existing Rolodex of beauty creators, micro-influencers, and aesthetic partners to build a robust, scalable gifting and partnership engine.
- DTC Performance & Attribution: Track social-to-DTC conversion metrics, monitor affiliate performance, and continuously optimize organic content to feed our top-of-funnel customer acquisition.
- Community Cultivation: Manage daily community engagement, sparking genuine conversations with our audience and turning casual followers into brand evangelists.
Requirements
- 5 years of dedicated social media experience, preferably with a background in indie beauty, wellness, or design-forward consumer goods.
- A strong visual eye and technical execution skills. You know how to frame a shot, utilize clean lighting, and edit snappy, high-retention short-form video.
- Deep data literacy: You understand attribution, how social drives Shopify/DTC traffic, and how to analyze metrics to pivot creative strategy.
- Startup mentality: You thrive in an autonomous, fast-paced environment and are excited by the prospect of building a brand from the ground up.
- Based in or willing to work hybrid in New York City.
- TikTok Shop, Shopify, Klaviyo, Canva, CapCut, Meta, Notion, Euka, MidJourney, Claude, Gemini, ai.
Compensation & Perks
- Base Salary: $90,000 – $105,000 (dependent on experience)
