Responsibilities

• Apply smooth, even layers of frosting and decorative elements to cakes according to design specifications
• Use cake decorating tools and techniques to create intricate designs, patterns, and finishes that enhance visual appeal
• Package finished cakes carefully to maintain quality during transport and display
• Assist in food preparation tasks such as assembling cake components and preparing icing or fillings
• Maintain cleanliness of workstations, adhering strictly to food safety and hygiene standards
• Support the team in food handling, storage, and inventory management of baking supplies
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of cake orders while upholding quality standards

Experience

• Prior experience in cake decorating or pastry arts is highly preferred
• Hands-on experience with food production, food handling, and kitchen operations in a bakery or restaurant setting
• Knowledge of baking techniques, including cake baking, icing preparation, and pastry assembly
• Familiarity with food safety regulations and proper sanitation practices in a commercial kitchen environment
• Strong knife skills and proficiency in using culinary tools for precise decoration work
• Customer service experience is a plus, especially when interacting with clients or taking custom orders
• Previous catering or restaurant experience can be beneficial for understanding fast-paced food environments
