Work Availability and Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age due to equipment operation requirements.
- Must be available to work closing shifts during the week and opening and/or closing shifts on weekends.
- Must have the flexibility to work throughout the holiday season, including the weeks leading up to major holidays such as Easter, Mother's Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
- Bakery hours are Monday–Saturday 9:00 AM–7:00 PM and Sunday 12:00 PM–5:00 PM.
Position Summary:
The Nothing Bundt Cakes (NbC) Shift Lead is a hands-on leader who works alongside the team to create an exceptional guest experience, maintain bakery standards, and support daily operations. Shift Leads are expected to actively participate in bakery operations and may assist with frosting, production support, guest service, cleaning, stocking, and other operational duties as needed. This is a working leadership position, meaning Shift Leads actively serve guests, support team members, participate in daily bakery operations, and provide leadership, guidance, and accountability.
Shift Leads lead by example, model a strong work ethic, and step in wherever needed, whether frosting cakes, helping guests, packaging orders, restocking supplies, cleaning, or supporting production. They help ensure each shift runs smoothly while maintaining the warm, welcoming environment that guests expect from Nothing Bundt Cakes.
This role serves as an important carrier of the NbC culture, reinforcing our core values and bringing our brand to life for both team members and guests. Shift Leads are trusted key holders who help uphold bakery standards, guest service expectations, and operational procedures in the absence of the Bakery Manager.

Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age due to equipment operation requirements.
- 1–3 years of experience in retail, restaurant, food service, hospitality, or a similar guest-facing environment, preferably with leadership responsibilities.
- Ability to responsibly handle cash management procedures, cash drawer reconciliation, alarm systems, and opening/closing responsibilities.
- Demonstrated success providing exceptional guest service and helping train, coach, or develop team members.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform the physical tasks associated with bakery operations.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Compensation & Work Environment:
- Compensation: $13.00 to $14.00 per hour, depending on experience
