These services are currently delivered by a dedicated team of full-time Mental Health Court Case Managers who collaborate closely with court personnel and community providers. The Court emphasizes holistic support, accountability, and recovery-oriented outcomes for individuals navigating both the legal and behavioral health systems.
Role Description The Clinical Case Manager/Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Newport, KY, responsible for overseeing intensive case management services for Mental Health Court participants. This role includes managing a caseload of clients with severe mental health needs, conducting regular in-person meetings and home visits, monitoring medications, and coordinating drug and alcohol screenings. The Clinical Case Manager/Supervisor will supervise and support case management staff, ensure accurate progress reporting, and attend court hearings to communicate client status and compliance. Daily responsibilities also involve arranging and coordinating transportation to medical and psychiatric appointments, assisting clients with housing, benefits, and employment searches, and developing individualized service plans. The role requires close collaboration with the Court Administrator, judges, treatment providers, and other stakeholders to maintain program integrity, promote client stability, and support successful engagement in treatment and the court program.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in Social Work, including direct practice with justice-involved or high-needs mental health populations.
- Strong Case Management and Case Management Services skills, including assessment, service planning, coordination, documentation, and follow-up.
- Knowledge and practical experience in Mental Health, particularly working with severe and persistent mental illnesses and co-occurring disorders.
- Background in Social Services, including familiarity with community resources, housing supports, benefits, and employment services.
- Relevant education - MSW in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related behavioral health field; licensure or eligibility for licensure is preferred.
- Experience supervising or leading clinical or case management teams, with the ability to provide guidance, coaching, and quality oversight.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and crisis intervention skills, with the ability to work effectively with court personnel, treatment providers, and diverse clients.
- Ability to work on-site, conduct community and home visits, maintain confidentiality, and manage a
