Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners. This position involves developing and implementing engaging curriculum that promotes literacy, social skills, and emotional growth in children aged 3 to 5 years. The Preschool Teacher will work closely with parents and staff to ensure the well-being and development of each child.
Responsibilities
- Educate and inspire preschool-aged children through creative lesson plans and activities.
- Develop age-appropriate curriculum that aligns with educational standards and promotes literacy education.
- Implement behavior management strategies to create a positive learning environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching methods and share best practices.
- Provide early intervention strategies for children with special needs or developmental delays.
- Teach physical education activities that promote health and wellness among students.
- Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child's progress and development.
- Observe and assess student performance, adapting teaching methods as necessary.
Skills
- Strong understanding of child welfare principles and practices. Must have ECE or BA/BS
- Experience in private school settings is preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in Creative Curriculum.
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques to support diverse learning needs.
- Has an established OCCRRA account, have a current ODJFS Medical screening
- Ability to implement early intervention strategies effectively.
- Experience working with students in an educational setting, demonstrating patience and empathy.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Bilingual in Spanish/English strongly preferred but not required.
