Role Summary:

Notable’s AI Platform Architects are responsible for flow architecture and design, eliciting customer requirements, designing and configuring flows in Flow Builder, testing and validating configurations, and training customers on using the platform. At Notable, we are setting the bar for this emerging industry role. Our architects are problem solvers that possess a strong analytical mindset and a passion for partnering with healthcare leaders to drive business transformation. They demonstrate a deep understanding of the Flow Builder platform as well as using AI frameworks to balance efficiency, scalability and maximize value. This role translates technical concepts to non-technical audiences, and has high proficiency in leveraging LLMs to create workflow efficiencies.

This role requires active clinical licensure (RN, NP, PA, MD, or PharmD) and combines deep clinical expertise with AI platform architecture to design, validate, and deploy clinical workflows that improve patient outcomes, clinical quality, and operational efficiency.

What You’ll Do:

  • Clinical Solution Design & Validation: Leverage clinical expertise to design evidence-based AI workflows for clinical use cases including care gap closure, care pathways, clinical documentation, patient outreach, and care coordination, ensuring that our ClinOps automated workflows are a market differentiator.
  • Clinical Outcomes Measurement: Establish clinical metrics and KPIs for flow performance, systematically measure before/after clinical impact, and build compelling clinical evidence narratives for customer value demonstration.
  • Clinical Quality Assurance: Perform clinical validation of AI algorithm outputs, ensure clinical accuracy and safety of automated workflows, and establish clinical governance processes for ongoing quality monitoring.
  • Clinical Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as a clinical voice in customer meetings, translating technical capabilities into clinical value propositions.
  • Independently implement flows with customers via Flow Builder by defining scope, setting appropriate expectations, and influence customer counterparts to achieve target outcomes.
  • Proactively put together project plans and execute on them through running project meetings, providing status updates, and maintaining shared accountability for achieving targeted outcomes.
  • Manage project plans both internally and externally, ensuring that projects are completed on time, and pre-defined outcomes are met.
  • Develop and execute on rigorous testing plans, ensuring that flows are vetted and signed off on prior to launch.
  • Recommend flow design choices where applicable, grounded in Notable’s best practices from similar organizations & tied to impact. Socialize that design with key customer decision-makers to ensure alignment and adherence to Notable’s best practices.
  • Escalate deployment risks or blockers internally and propose actionable recommendations when doing so, driving to resolution.
  • Provide input to internal, cross-functional team members on product & integration capability improvements, market implications, e.g.,
    • Drive significant improvement in customer outcomes
    • Widen our advantage versus competitors
    • Identify which capabilities are harder/easier to deploy
    • What competitive solutions are you encountering
  • As the implementation is completed, facilitate the transition to steady-state ownership alongside the associated Customer Success and Support & Maintenance teams

You’re a Great Fit if:

  • Thrive on technical challenges and pushing boundaries of AI innovation.
  • Demonstrate strong product intuition - understanding how what you build will impact users, outcomes and long-term growth.
  • Inspire innovation in the partners and leaders you build with.
  • Enjoy bridging the gap between technical execution and strategic vision.
  • Look at yourself as an entrepreneur, who likes to build and solve challenges others have yet to master.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 3-5 years of experience
  • Active clinical license (RN, NP, PA, MD, PharmD) with 3 years of direct patient care experience is a must
  • Clinical informatics or health IT experience with understanding of clinical workflows, quality measures, care protocols, and healthcare operations
  • Clinical documentation expertise including familiarity with clinical terminology, coding systems (ICD-10, CPT, SNOMED), and quality reporting requirements
  • Healthcare quality and safety knowledge including experience with clinical quality measures, patient safety protocols, and regulatory compliance (Joint Commission, CMS, etc.)
  • Clinical communication skills with ability to engage clinical leadership and facilitate clinical workflow optimization discussions with healthcare providers and leaders
  • Thrive in an autonomous, entrepreneurial role, working in a dynamic, collaborative, and fast paced environment
  • Self-driven thought partner, with the ability to think critically and logically and configure workflows using a low-code admin console, leveraging emerging technologies (LLMs, prompt engineering, etc.) to help triage issues and develop solutions on a daily basis
  • Experience with enterprise software workflow design, using and configuring emerging technologies to solve complex business problems
  • Ability to translate customer needs into achievable goals, breakdown problems into their component pieces, root cause problems, and highlight spoken and unspoken assumptions for testing
  • Able to communicate technical concepts to a variety of audiences from technical/IT to operational to executive
  • Flexibility to travel up to 40% for customer and company meetings

We value in-person collaboration and connection. For Bay Area–based employees, this role requires being in our San Mateo office at least three days a week. For remote employees, occasional travel to headquarters is expected for company-wide events and onsite gatherings.
