Position Overview:We are seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable health educator/presenter with a strong background and/or knowledge in first responder roles, chaplaincy, and/or military service. The ideal candidate will deliver impactful presentations and training sessions tailored to first responders, military personnel, and community groups. This role requires the ability to connect with diverse audiences, facilitate discussions, and share practical tools and insights for personal and professional growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging presentations, workshops, and training programs on topics such as leadership, stress management, ethical decision-making, mental health, spiritual resilience, and team building.
- Tailor content to meet the unique needs of first responders, military personnel, and their families.
- Facilitate interactive discussions and activities that promote audience participation and critical thinking.
- Leverage personal experience as a first responder, chaplain, or military member to provide relatable examples and insights.
- Provide resources, tools, and actionable takeaways that support physical, mental, and spiritual wellness.
- Stay current on relevant trends, research, and best practices in first responder and military wellness and chaplaincy support.
- Serve as a trusted representative and advocate for holistic wellness and professional development within the targeted audience.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or 3 years of health education experience presenting on a variety of topics including stress management, self-care, mental health.
- Strong public speaking and presentation skills with the ability to connect authentically with various audiences.
- Experience delivering training or educational programs, ideally in high-stress or service-oriented environments.
- Knowledge of mental health, stress management, spiritual wellness, and team dynamics in first responder and military contexts.
- Ability to handle sensitive topics with empathy, confidentiality, and professionalism.
- Proficient in creating multimedia presentations and using tools such as PowerPoint, video, and other visual aids.
- Flexibility to travel and work irregular hours as needed.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience as a first responder (law enforcement, fire, EMS, corrections, or 911 dispatcher), chaplain, or military service member preferred, but not required.
- Certification or training in counseling, coaching, or wellness-related fields.
- Experience working with chaplaincy programs, peer support teams, or wellness initiatives.
- Familiarity with trauma-informed care practices, stress reduction techniques, or spiritual counseling.
