How You’ll Make Your Mark
- Align the company strategy with the retail account’s direction and goals.
- Build new relationships and maintain current relationships with all levels of the retail customer.
- Oversee and manage the current product listing, opportunities for new business, and new product launches.
- Develop strategies for profitably growing of customer and categories.
- Develop monthly sales and demand forecast.
- Work cross-functionally within the organization.
- Maintain an awareness of trends in the industry, competition, and account changes.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key national accounts.
- Understand the unique needs and objectives of each account.
- Meet or exceed sales targets and revenue goals for national accounts.
- Identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling additional products/services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop strategic account plans.
- Develop and execute strategies to achieve long-term business objectives.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with national accounts.
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during the relationship.
- Effectively communicate the value proposition of products/services to national accounts.
- Provide regular updates and reports to internal stakeholders and national accounts.
- Identify and address challenges or obstacles that may impact the success of the account.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on market analysis.
- Trained in strategic negotiations.
- Experience leveraging data into actionable insights.
- Radical curiosity of retail and the constantly changing marketplace
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
- Ability to proactively and creatively problem solve.

- Familiarity with the industry and market dynamics relevant to the company's products/services.
- Strong leadership skills.

- Strong Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in business management.
- At least 3 - 5 years of current, CPG, account management experience working with retailers in the food channel – Albertsons, H-E-B, and Publix preferred.
- Current experience with item level forecasting.
- Proven experience in sales, account management, or a related field.
- Experience managing national or key accounts is often preferred.
- This is a remote role and will require occasional travel for meetings.
