What are the responsibilities and job description for the Athletic Trainer position at NOT SPECIFIED?
Applications are being accepted for a certified Athletic Trainer to provide athletic services to student athletes. This is a part-time position and will vary by sport season.
The candidate must be someone with medical experience and who is covered (insurance-wise), such as a school nurse or an EMT/Paramedic. You cannot only hold a CPR certification.
You will be required to pass a criminal a background check.
Other duties include, but not limited to:
Providing athletic training services for all home athletic contests.
Acts as liaison between family physicians and specialists, the school district, athletes and their parents.
Maintains accurate records of injuries, treatments and provides insurance claim forms for sport injuries treated by a physician.
Assists in the scheduling and participation of sports physicals.
Provides the coaches and athletic directors with a list of athletes medically eligible to complete under district and state rules and regulations.
Assists in the training of coaches and assitants as requested.
Provides other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director or School Principal.
Preferred candidate must have a current NATABOC Certification and a Current CPR/First Aid Certification. Must be eligible for Maryland Athletic Trainer License.
