Duties
- Greet customers warmly, assess their needs, and provide expert advice on lawn care, gardening, floral design, and landscape maintenance products
- Assist customers with product selection, demonstrating knowledge of plant identification, horticulture techniques, and outdoor tools
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for transactions including cash handling and retail math calculations
- Stock shelves, organize merchandise displays, and ensure the store remains clean, organized, and inviting
- Support merchandising efforts by arranging floral arrangements or garden displays to attract customer interest
- Manage inventory by stocking new products, conducting stock checks, and updating product signage as needed
- Communicate effectively via phone or in person to answer questions, schedule services or follow up with customers
- Maintain organizational skills to keep track of sales records, customer orders, and product availability
Qualifications
- Previous outdoor work experience or familiarity with lawn care, landscape maintenance or gardening is highly preferred
- Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers
- Knowledge of plant identification, horticulture practices, floral design or related fields is advantageous
- Experience with POS systems and cashiering procedures including cash handling and retail math
- Excellent organizational skills to manage stock levels and merchandising displays efficiently
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards
- Customer service orientation with a friendly attitude and proactive approach to assisting shoppers
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced retail environment
