Daily responsibilities for the Cowboy Position: Ride pens, identify sick animals, doctor sick animals, return animals to pens, receive animals, ship animals, performs processing (administering vaccines, dewormers, implants, castrations, etc.), revaccinations, reimplantation, sorting cattle, feeding horses, doctoring horses, cleaning and maintaining working areas, washing watering troughs, and other tasks as necessary.
Daily responsibilities for the Ranch Hand Position: Run mill to make feedstuffs, load trucks with a wheel loader, mix feed, administer feed in a truck or tractor, administer hay in a tractor or by hand, cleaning bunks, maintain equipment daily including checking oil, blowing out filters, blowing out radiator, greasing equipment, washing equipment, assisting in repairs, manure removal, manure disposal washing watering troughs, repairing fences and structures, and other tasks as necessary.
