We're looking for a motivated Assembly Technician who enjoys working with their hands, takes pride in building quality products, and wants to be part of a mission-driven team.
Position Overview
As an Assembly Technician, you will be trained across multiple assembly stations and become proficient in building a variety of products, including sub-assemblies, manual wheelchairs, and off-road wheelchairs. This position requires strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to follow build instructions and technical drawings.
Responsibilities
- Assemble components and sub-assemblies according to build sheets and work instructions
- Build and test manual wheelchairs and off-road wheelchairs
- Use hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment safely and effectively
- Read and interpret assembly drawings, diagrams, and build documentation
- Inspect completed assemblies for quality and accuracy
- Troubleshoot minor assembly issues and identify missing or incorrect parts
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Support continuous improvement efforts and assist in other production areas as needed
Qualifications
- Comfortable working with hand tools and basic power tools
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to follow written instructions, build sheets, and assembly drawings
- Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable attendance and positive attitude
- Manufacturing or assembly experience is preferred but not required
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable performing repetitive assembly tasks throughout the day
