Position Summary
We’re looking for a dedicated, detail-oriented Baker to join the Not A Bakery team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced production environment, loves the science and artistry of baking, and takes pride in producing high-quality products that reflect our commitment to excellence. From mixing doughs and laminating pastries to overseeing proofing, baking, and packaging, you’ll play a key part in ensuring that NAB’s products meet the highest standards every day.
You’ll work closely with our pastry and production team to execute daily production schedules, maintain consistency, and help evolve our menu as we grow. This is a hands-on role requiring precision, stamina, and a passion for craft baking.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake a variety of breads, pastries, and other baked goods according to recipes and production standards
- Follow daily production schedules and ensure timely completion of all orders
- Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients accurately
- Operate and maintain baking equipment including mixers, ovens, and proofers
- Maintain consistency and quality across all products
- Assist with menu and recipe development as needed
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management
- Uphold all food safety and sanitation standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines
Qualifications:
- 1–3 years of professional baking or pastry experience preferred
- Strong understanding of dough development, fermentation, and baking techniques
- Excellent attention to detail and consistency
- Ability to follow recipes and execute at scale
- Comfortable working early morning hours and standing for long periods
- Dependable, self-motivated, and team-oriented
