Grant Writer

Nosreme Baltimore, Inc
Baltimore, MD Volunteer
POSTED ON 12/23/2025
AVAILABLE BEFORE 6/17/2026
The idea for Nosreme, Inspired by an early exploration of transcendentalism, our namesake Nosreme is "Emerson" spelled backward. The premise of a communal space woven with alternative societal experiences.

At Nosreme, we believe art is a powerful tool for healing and connection. Rooted in Baltimore, we create opportunities for local creatives, international artists, and community members to engage through public art and cultural exchange-bringing the world to Baltimore and Baltimore to the world.

Today, we host a mosaic of events around Baltimore that enable artists to get involved, such as pop-up restaurants with a unique art element and murals.

Tomorrow,we plan to establish a brick-and-mortar location-a creative homebase where our resident artists will have access to affordable housing, lead workshops, host community dinners, and engage in activities like storytelling and chess. Through international exchanges and shared experiences, we’ll connect Baltimore to the world and create a vibrant, inclusive future rooted in art and community.

Our goal is to establish our location by 2027 with short and long-term housing for (10) residents.

Nosreme Baltimore is a grassroots, Black-led arts organization building an international artist residency and global exchange program rooted in Baltimore. We support emerging artists through public art, cultural exchange, and community-centered programming. In 2025–2026, we are launching our first Baltimore↔Rotterdam international artist exchange pilot and preparing a major public arts project honoring the legacy of the Negro Baseball League.

We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented grant writer to support upcoming submissions — a mix of full proposals and letters of interest. You will be working directly with the Executive Director (who is currently managing all grant writing alone) to draft, refine, and submit compelling materials on a tight timeline.

Scope of Work

  • Grant applications or letters of interest
  • Narrative drafting
  • Rewriting/refining drafts provided
  • Light research to align language to funder priorities
  • Compiling requested attachments and supporting documents
  • Ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment with our mission
  • Quick turnaround edits when needed

We have a clear list of which grants we are applying for — you will primarily help draft and strengthen narratives.
