Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, ensuring food safety and sanitation protocols are followed
- Assist in menu planning by providing input on dish presentation and ingredient selection
- Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage, handling, and portioning of ingredients
- Support catering orders and special events with timely meal preparation and service
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during busy service times
- Follow all food safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment at all times
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service setting is highly preferred, especially in fine dining environments
- Demonstrated culinary experience with strong knife skills and food preparation techniques
- Familiarity with dietary department procedures and dietary aide experience is a plus
- Knowledge of food handling, safety standards, and sanitation practices within the food industry
