What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bindery Set Up Operator position at Nosco?
Nosco is looking for a Bindery Setup Operator at our Gurnee, IL facility. This role is on our 12 hour rotating shift schedule.
As an employee owner in this position, you will set up and operate Bindery equipment in accordance with both internal and customer specifications, while working in a safe and efficient manner. This is a position that requires a critical eye for detail, precision, and consistency. All while working in a team-based environment.

The typical pay range for this role is $20.00 - $34.00.
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base offer will depend on a variety of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

As an employee owner in this position, you will set up and operate Bindery equipment in accordance with both internal and customer specifications, while working in a safe and efficient manner. In this role, you will…
- Operate available equipment to ensure production objectives are met.
- Cross train to be able to run all finishing assets in the Bindery department.
- Perform minor preventive maintenance/repairs, report any mechanical defects to Manager and Team Lead, and keep machinery in good working condition.
- Ensure quality system procedures are always followed.
- Ensure department meets all needs for customer satisfaction including OTD.
- Preferably 2 years of Bindery (literature folder gluer) or other technical skills operating machinery.
- Experience with basic Quality systems and documentation.
- Flexibility to work any shift and Overtime. Work in a fast-paced environment with ability to adapt to change.
- High school diploma or GED
- Physical requirements: Twisting, turning, squeezing, grasping, reaching, reaching over equipment, kneeling, crawling, pulling, extended periods of standing, ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Long periods of concentration.
- Speaking, hearing and vision are also essentials to performing job functions.
