Norwood Sales is seeking a hands-on Inventory/Kitting Manager to own and optimize a complex, high-mix inventory operation. You’ll be responsible for over 15,000 purchased SKUs and 20,000 manufactured parts, lead daily cycle counts, manage a growing team of Inventory Specialists, and help design warehouse strategies that support kitting for more than 800 unique kits.

Key Responsibilities
- Own inventory accuracy for 15,000 procurement SKUs and 20,000 manufactured parts across the facility.
- Lead, schedule, and monitor daily cycle counts, investigations, and adjustments to maintain high inventory integrity.
- Build, train, and manage a team of Inventory Specialists; set expectations, coach performance, and develop standard work.
- Partner with production, purchasing, and warehouse teams to support and improve kitting of 800 unique kits.
- Help design and optimize warehouse layout, material flow, and storage strategies to improve throughput and reduce handling.
- Develop and enforce inventory control procedures, including locations, labeling, and transaction discipline.
- Analyze inventory data to identify root causes of discrepancies and drive corrective actions.
- Support ERP/MRP accuracy by ensuring timely and correct inventory transactions.
- Create and track KPIs (accuracy %, count compliance, discrepancies, kit fill rates, etc.) and report results to leadership.
What You’ll Bring
- 3–5 years of inventory management experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment (high mix preferred).
- Experience leading or managing an inventory, warehouse, or materials team.
- Strong understanding of inventory control methods (cycle counting, ABC classification, root-cause analysis).
- Comfort working with ERP/MRP systems and spreadsheets for data analysis.
- Ability to work on the floor as well as at the desk—hands-on, detail-focused, and process-driven.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with production, purchasing, and leadership.
