Department Chair (Grades 5-12)
• English Language Education (Grades 5-12)
Duties and Responsibilities:
•Provide leadership and management of the department assigned
•Coordinate and evaluate state and local testing
•Provide instructional support to educators through research, modeling, and coaching.
•Collaborate with Principals, Coordinators, and the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum to provide ongoing professional development, targeted coaching, and feedback to educators to reflect best practices in instruction and student engagement.
•Provide leadership in selecting, implementing, and updating instructional materials and resources
•Support the development and implementation of inclusive and differentiated instructional practices to meet the diverse needs of all learners.
•Facilitate the creation and implementation of intervention and enrichment programs to support students who are struggling or excelling.
•Performs other duties as assigned.
Terms and Conditions of Employment:
•Salary according to the Agreement between the Norwood School Committee and the Norwood Teachers’ Association (Unit A). 187 work days.
Salary : $5,500 - $12,300
