What are the responsibilities and job description for the Client Service Associate position at Norwood Economics, Inc.?
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated, process-driven Client Service Associate (CSA) to support our Wealth Management and 401(k) businesses. In this role, you will work side-by-side with our Client Relationship Manager (CRM) to execute day-to-day account operations, coordinate digital paperwork, and ensure our clients receive prompt, dependable, outstanding service.
This position is designed as a career launchpad for a promising junior professional. We do not require deep finance background out of the gate; instead, we prioritize high organizational instincts, quick technical learning agility, and an absolute commitment to client responsiveness. You will learn wealth management and 401(k) retirement plan mechanics under close mentorship while fully utilizing our CRM software to keep our operations running smoothly.

· Dependable Client Care: Deliver a professional, dependable contact experience for clients, addressing routine administrative inquiries and setting accurate timelines for follow up.
· Proactive Communication: Monitor the status of outstanding projects, ensuring deadlines are communicated and met.
· Account Management: Handle the end-to-end administration of account setups, asset transfers, participant retirement updates, and 401(k) administration.
· Maintain CRM Software Records: Follow workflows, monitor schedules, follow checklists, and maintain accurate histories across client assignments.
· Interact with Key Partners: Build deep working relationships with custodians, third-party recordkeepers, and internal teammates to support clients efficiently.
· Assist Client Relationship Manager with invoicing and office maintenance: Help prepare quarterly invoices and assist with office inventory.
Skills Required
· Service & Responsiveness Focus: Highly responsive habits with a dedication to prompt turnarounds and reliable task management.
· Attention to Detail: A strong habit of double-checking paperwork, catching missing information, and verifying details before processing.
· Digital Fluency: Advanced comfort with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams), modern electronic e-signature apps like DocuSign, and CRM software.
· Resourceful Problem Solver: Curious and coachable mindset with a habit of independently digging into help guides or databases to resolve roadblocks before raising flags.
Education & Experience Requirements
· Bachelor's degree (Open to all fields of study like Business, Communications, Economics, or Liberal Arts).
· Alternative Requirement: Associate degree or High School Diploma paired with 1–2 years of corporate desk, high-end retail service, or professional banking support experience.
