What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Teacher Preschool position at Norwood Cooperative Nursery School?
Norwood Cooperative Nursery School is seeking an assistant for the Preschool 2 class. The Assistant will support the lead teacher in planning curriculum, creating materials, and maintaining a clean, welcoming, and safe classroom environment. Additionally, the Assistant will supervise children and support their learning and social-emotional development.
A basic understanding of child development is helpful, but we can support the ideal candidate in acquiring the necessary knowledge and skills. Ability to multi task in a dynamic classroom environment is a must. A background check and current CPR/First Aid certification are required prior to employment.
Schedule:
- September through May
- Monday–Thursday, 8:30 AM – 1:00 PM
- Following the school year schedule (including breaks in December, February, and April)
