JOB DESCRIPTION
Norwix Inc. is seeking a motivated and responsible Quality Assurance Analyst to join our technical team.
You'll own the quality of our products by:
- Writing clear, thorough test cases
- Building and maintaining our test suites
- Helping the team deliver reliable printing hardware, software, and ink solutions to OEMs and integrators worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Test Case Development: Design, write, and maintain detailed test cases for new features, regressions, and edge cases. Translate requirements and product behavior into steps that are easy to follow and easy to repeat.
- Test Suite Ownership: Build, organize, and keep our test suites current. Add new coverage as products evolve, update existing cases when functionality changes, and retire tests that no longer add value.
- Test Execution and Defect Reporting: Execute test plans, record results, and file defects with clear reproduction steps, expected vs. actual results, and supporting evidence. Verify fixes and help determine when a release is ready.
- Requirements Review: Review requirements and product changes, then flag gaps, ambiguities, and missing acceptance criteria before they become production issues.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, product, and field application teams to prioritize testing based on risk, customer impact, and release timing.
Requirements
- Testing Experience: Approximately 2-4 years of software QA / testing experience, or equivalent. Must have experience writing test cases, not only executing cases written by others.
- Test Suite Maintenance: Demonstrated experience building and maintaining a test case suite over time, including adding, updating, and retiring cases.
- Technical Proficiency: Solid understanding of functional, regression, smoke, and exploratory testing. Comfortable working from requirements, tickets, or acceptance criteria.
- Tools: Ability to use a test management tool and a defect tracker (for example Squash TM, TestRail, Zephyr, qTest, Jira, or Azure DevOps).
- Communication Skills: Capable of writing clear test steps, bug reports, and coverage notes so others can reproduce issues without a walkthrough.
Preferred Skills
- Automation / Coding: Experience with Squash TM / Squash automation, or any test automation or scripting (Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, Robot Framework, Python, JavaScript, etc.). This is a plus, not a requirement.
- Coverage and Traceability: Experience linking tests to requirements and reporting coverage.
