JOB DESCRIPTION

Norwix Inc, a global leader in the development, manufacture and sales of industrial printing equipment is looking for an Engineering Manager to oversee design development and maintenance of industrial printing products through the complete product life cycle. Engineering Manager will be responsible for managing all engineering aspects of product design which include: circuit boards design, FPGA and VHDL design, firmware development, front end software development, mechanical design and field customer support. Norwix is looking for the right candidate who will empower the engineering team to build best in class products and keep Norwix on a double-digit growth trajectory.

JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Oversee the development and execution of projects, manage budgets and supervise multiple teams.
• Coordinate daily activity and projects of Software, Electrical, Mechanical and Field Engineering teams.
• Make sure engineering resources are used efficiently and effectively.
• Manage team including Interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees.
• Work with upper management and CEO to make sure engineering initiatives are on schedule and within budget.
• Provide input to the technical vision for the company and plans for implementation of new technical projects and product lines.
• Research and select appropriate components and vendors.
• Work with contractors and vendors to make sure Norwix products are build on schedule, within budget and free of defects and bugs.
• Providing engineering oversight and input to manufacturing and production.
• Oversee construction and test of prototype assemblies.
• Work with customers to identify new features/issues and implement/resolve them in timely fashion.
• Understand and update engineering documents and procedures.

REQUIREMENTS

• 4 Year Electrical or Computer Engineering Degree, with experience in circuit design.
• Familiarity with embedded, multithread applications and object oriented software design.
• Familiarity of mechanical concepts and electromechanical manufacturing.
• Prior experience in managing engineering projects and teams.
• Ability to oversee product changes with keen attention to detail and final oversight.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and design tasks
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $130,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
