Fulfills the mission of Norwich University by providing inventory support to the Uniform Store.
This is a 20 hour per week and 52 weeks per year .5 FTE position.
Essential Functions
- Physically organizes and accounts for issued uniform inventory.
- Accurately records inventory counts and calculated totals for purposes of ordering and audits
- Tracks trends in sizes and amounts using shared Excel Spreadsheets.
- Delegates tasks related to inventory stocking, counting, and organizing to student workers
- Assists in fitting and issuing of cadet uniforms at critical times of the year.
- Assists in setting up, restocking, and taking down Rook Uniform Issue.
- Assists with other Uniform Store tasks as needed under the direction of the Uniform Manager.

- Maintains confidentiality of sensitive or private information.
- Communicates with employees, students, and others in a respectful and clear manner.
- Achieves, maintains proficiency in, and utilizes computers, telephones, and other job-related equipment, including related systems and software.
- Speaks, reads, and writes in English.
- Communicates by telephone, email, letter, in person, or other means or device.
- Performs other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience in detailed oriented, hands-on work
- Able to gather, process, and interpret data
- Able to sit, squat, reach, push, pull, and climb stairs. Able to lift 35 pounds; travel outdoors to various parts of the campus
- Able to work two weekends a year (Rook Issue and Graduation)
Environmental Conditions
- Indoor work on an upper level that may be hot in the summer and cold in the winter. Outdoor moving of inventory to and from delivery trucks and storage containers in summer and fall
- Low level of exposure to noise, dust, fumes, vibrations.
