The Department of Global Humanities at Norwich University invites applications for a Lecturer in Spanish for the spring 2026 semester. This is an in-person position on the Norwich University campus in Northfield, VT.
The selected candidate will be responsible for teaching up to five courses (15 credits) a semester. Candidates will be able to teach across all levels of Spanish language, contribute to program retention initiatives, and support student success.
Responsibilities include:
- Teaching engaging Spanish courses at all levels to attract students and sustain interest through advanced study.
- Promoting retention by mentoring students, providing academic support, and fostering an inclusive classroom environment.
- Strengthening program identity by highlighting Spanish as an integral part of global readiness and career preparation.

Job Requirements:
- M.A. or higher in Spanish or a closely related field
- Prior college-level teaching experience
- Demonstrated commitment to student-centered teaching and program development
